Chapalichthys

I read recently the original dscription, and for me seems clear now, that peraticus belongs to pardalis; Álvarez desribed dots on the fish, and the fish I thought are the "real" peraticus (e.g. in Aqualog) seem to be more probably from Xenotoca, eventually the species from the Cuitzeo-basin, or variata, but not peraticus. In the hobby, there are several "peraticus" locations given, mostly Tocumbo Park, Presa de San Juanico. These are 2 locations, so what of these is the right one? Who collected definitely "peraticus" from the Presa? Do we have recently sampled fish from there, from Tocumbo or the Lago de Magdalena? I got some from the Lago, but nobody knows when they were sampled, and who sampled...and: I read somewhere about pardalis; first introduced to Europe in 1978 (and the last time?) Does anybody know about this rumor?

Hello Mike !
From my strain's notes, the french strain of pardalis should have been collected in Tocumbo by Ivan Dibble et al. in 1999.
For what I understand there is only one location for "pardalis"...
San Juanico is associated to peraticus if the species is a valid one. but it is said to be a synonym of pardalis by Miller 2006.
